Mrs. Cheryle D. Carter is the wife of the Reverend Nathaniel Carter, Pastor of the Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, Columbus, Ohio.   

Mrs. Carter is very active in the Music Ministry.  She has sung with the Michael Frazier Chorale, the Paul Laurence Dunbar Afro-American Concert Choir, the Concord Choir of Second Baptist Church, the Milton Ruffin Chorale, Gospel Meets Symphony, the Columbus Revival Choir, and the James Tucker Inspirational Singers (her siblings).  She has served as a member of the E.U.M.B.A. Bible College Music Department faculty and as Director of the Christ Memorial Treble Clefs, a ladies ensemble.  Mrs. Carter currently serves as Musician and Minister of Music for the Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church (MLBC) Family.

Mrs. Carter has been an active member of the Baptist Ministers' Wives and Ministers' Widows Alliance, Inc., Columbus, Ohio,  since 1991, having served in various leadership roles which includes the following:  First-Vice President, General Treasurer, Family Outing Chair, Communications Chair, Speaker - 1999 & 2012, Annual Scholarship Luncheons, and President from 2005 - 2008.  She is also an active member of the Ohio Association of Ministers' Wives and Ministers' Widows, Inc., as well as the International Association of Ministers' Wives and Ministers' Widows, Inc.  Mrs. Carter serves in leadership roles in each of those organizations.  She has served as E.U.M.B.A. Deaconess Workshop facilitator, instructor for the E.U.M.B.A. Annual Congress (2006 - 2010), facilitator for the E.U.M.B.A. Mary L. Myers Retreat (2011 - 2013), and currently serves as First-Vice President of the Deaconess Unit.

Mrs. Carter's education includes:  Denison University, Granville, Ohio, earning a B.A. Degree as a Music Major with a  minor in Education; Kent State University, Kent, Ohio, earning an M.L.S. Degree in Library Science; and Columbus State Community College, earning an A.A.S. Degree in Computer Technology.

She believes that the position of a Minister's Wife and Pastor's Wife is a called position.  She is humbled by the fact that she has been called to serve as the wife of one of God's Anointed.
